About Us

Located in the mountains of Southwestern Pennsylvania, Wolf Mountain Farm is a family-owned farm operated by Alyssa and Levi. Alongside our three young children, we are dedicated to raising exceptional Valais Blacknose Sheep and Central Asian Shepherd Dogs with a focus on quality, purpose, and long-term improvement.

United by a shared passion for preserving remarkable genetics and maintaining the highest standards of animal husbandry, we are committed to building a program rooted in excellence, integrity, and responsible stewardship.

While our farm may be family-run, our standards are anything but ordinary.

Our goal is to produce animals that reflect the traits that made us fall in love with these breeds in the first place. In our Valais Blacknose program, that means breeding as closely as possible to the original Swiss standard while prioritizing strong conformation, correct horn sets, exceptional wool quality, sound structure, and practical traits that help sheep thrive. We place particular emphasis on building a more robust and resilient flock, including selecting for parasite resistance and overall hardiness—traits that are often lacking within the breed in the United States.

Our Central Asian Shepherd program follows the same philosophy. We value stable temperaments, sound structure, working ability, and the confidence, instinct, and character that have defined the breed for generations.

We believe exceptional animals are the result of careful planning, consistent stewardship, and a dedication to doing things the right way. Every breeding decision we make is guided by the long-term health, quality, and future of our program.
